AlertMe was named one of the inaugural New Energy Pioneers at the third annual Bloomberg New Energy Finance Summit in London. The companies honored – AlertMe, the Dyesol Group, Novacem, Magnomatics, and Topell Energy –represent a range of sectors, from energy storage conversion to energy efficiency and transportation.
Bloomberg New Energy Finance analysts chose the recipients after assessing hundreds of companies from across the globe, spanning all areas of energy technology.
The Pioneers Program recognizes companies that Bloomberg New Energy Finance analysts consider future leaders in the field of new energy technology and innovation. The recipients were chosen based on three criteria: innovation, traction and potential. Each of the Bloomberg New Energy Finance Pioneers has not only demonstrated a ground-breaking new technology, but also the ability to implement it in real-life situations, explains Michael Liebreich, Bloomberg New Energy Finance CEO. “We feel they are potential game changers… The work they are doing is progressive and significant to the future of the energy sector, and they could play a significant role in the world’s transition to a lower carbon, more secure, smart, decentralized energy system.”
Based in Cambridge, AlertMe provides affordable and easy to use Smart Consumer Home Energy Management services and applications, enabling consumers to monitor they use in order to control and reduce consumption and cost. The company also provides these services to energy companies and utilities.
AlertMe CEO Mary Turner was delighted to be one of the first five New Energy Pioneers “and to be recognized by Bloomberg as a company demonstrating innovation, great potential and traction with a real live product and consumer proposition today.”
In addition to providing consumers with the tools to take control of the energy they use, Turner says AlertMe aims to “engage them by providing new compelling and fun applications to ensure that the progress they make in saving energy and money is sustainable and as a result makes an ongoing direct contribution to carbon reduction.”
