Trilliant, which provides Smart Grid communications that enhance energy efficiency, utility operations and renewable resource integration, has appointed technology veteran Salim Khan as Chief Operating Officer.
Salim has more than 25 years experience in the global electric power industry. Prior to joining Trilliant, Salim was senior vice president and general manager of ABB’s Network Management business in North America and a key architect of ABB’s Smart Grid strategy. Salim was also responsible for energy and market management software and systems, including distribution automation for electric utilities. In Addition, he oversaw several ABB investments in Smart Grid companies, including ABB Technology Ventures’ 2010 investment in Trilliant.
Earlier in his career, Salim held senior executive positions at Landis+Gyr, Systems Control, and a venture-backed enterprise software start-up company in Silicon Valley.
In his new position at Trilliant, Salim will manage day-to-day operations explains Trilliant CEO Andy White. “With Salim as Trilliant’s COO, our customers, partners and employees will have the benefit of his deep utility, Smart Grid and network management expertise.”
