West Penn Power Signs deal with EnergyConnect

EnergyConnect has been awarded an exclusive multi-year contract with West Penn Power, a FirstEnergy utility, to help meet the requirements of Pennsylvania’s Act 129, which mandates reducing peak demand for electricity by four and a half percent by May 31, 2013. By using the company’s GridConnect integrated demand response platform, eligible customers will have the opportunity to increase their demand response participation in a way nit possible with traditional grid-dispatched capacity programs.
