GridGlo, a recently launched startup that specializes in data fusion and the development of smart grid applications, has leased office space in Delray Beach, Florida. GridGlo’s unique data platform has garnered enough interest from the utility industry to expand its base of operations. The new location provides enough room for growth, as the company seeks to hire more employees as it expand its operations.
Wireless technology developer Awesense Wireless has been selected to present its wireless sensor system during the Northern Cleantech Showcase in Silicon Valley. The special invitation-only event will showcase seven jury-selected, Vancouver-area clean technology companies determined to be the “most fundable” to Silicon Valley investors. The selection committee included Kachan, Deloitte, Gowlings, Greentech Exchange Vancouver, and investors GreenAngel Energy, Ventures West, and Yaletown Venture Partners.
Vancouver, Cisco and Pulse Energy are collaborating to develop Vancouver’s goals of advancing clean technology, developing a network of specialized partners, and improving energy efficiency and management. Beginning in 2010, the three partners implement technologies for building-energy management, home-energy management, urban carbon-footprint reduction, and data center efficiency.

Green energy company Nation-E AG, has announced its first mobile charging solution for electric cars: NationMobile Angel Car. Developed as a solution to “range anxiety,” the system targets electric cars stranded on the road because of depleted resources and offers drivers a way to charge their electric car should it run out of power.
Accent, which provides semiconductor integration of communications and metering technologies, has launched ASMgridTM, the industry’s first Clean Tech System-on-Chip (SoC) platform. The ASMgrid platform incorporates wireless and communications technology for single chip solutions and enables emerging Smart Meter and Home Area Network (HAN) end-products that will significantly help decrease CO2 emissions.
