Zvi Lando, VP Global Sales for SolarEdge says, “We see great potential in the Italian market and believe that Alba Tech, with its vast experience and nation-wide network of sales and support, is the best partner for establishing our operations in this market.”
The deal enables SolarEdge to expand its business into Italy, the second largest PV market in Europe which over the last several years has enjoyed a double-digit growth rate. Italy’s diversified market includes roof-top, commercial and large-scale PV installations.
SolarEdge’s power harvesting solution includes PowerBoxes, which are module-integrated power optimizers, multi-string solar inverters and monitoring portals. This end-to-end solution facilitates up to 25 percent more energy production from PV installation, while lowering costs and minimizing complexities, leading to a faster return on investment.
The SolarEdge solution benefits installers and system owners of all system types by offering constraint-free design and real-time module-level monitoring along with improved maintenance at reduced cost, optimal site-area utilization, theft prevention mechanisms and enhanced safety and reliability.
Alba Tech has already placed orders and taken deliveries for several mega-watts of SolarEdge systems. Raffaele Salutari, Alba Tech Srl Sales and Marketing Director, says, “As a MetaSystem Group company, a technology-oriented group with extensive experience in power electronics, we found SolarEdge to be a natural partner, providing a smart solution based on a unique technology that enables maximum energy throughput along with numerous other benefits.”
The SolarEdge solution will be demonstrated at the Alba Tech booth during the SolarExpo 2010 exhibition in Verona, May 5-7, 2010. The booth will be located in Hall 4, Stand E 3.1.
