Opus Awards Three Smart Meter Projects

Opus Awards Three Smart Meter Projects

Earlier this year Opus Energy surveyed 500 small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) business leaders on smart meter technology.  The benefits they found in smart meters includes accurate meter readings and bills; real time visibility of business’ energy consumption; and encouragement for everyone to think more about energy saving.

Opus Energy’s director of operations, Andy Nash, says, “Customers with smart meters are able to reap financial savings and become more energy efficient. We want to ensure that Opus Energy’s growing customer base can take advantage of smart meters and the benefits that they bring, so we’re very happy to announce these new projects.”

Julie Woulds, IMServ Major Accounts Manager believes his company’s relationship with Opus Energy “continues to grow from strength to strength. This win is a direct result of internal departments working together to effectively manage all aspects of the service.”

Siemens Metering, Communications and Services Head of UK Account Management Andrew Gore, notes, “The choice highlights the importance that Opus Energy places on Siemens to deliver reliable, ‘first time fit’ installations and present consumption data of the highest standard.”

Bob Oglesby, UPL Managing Director, adds: “This is an important opportunity for us and we’re delighted to be continuing our strong relationship with Opus Energy. As an independent metering and data services provider, UPL is well positioned to deliver a fully flexible and focused service to Opus Energy.”

Opus Energy supplies over 130,000 UK business sites across all sectors. For more information, visit www.smartmeter.opusenergy.com.
