GreenHouse Holdings, which provides energy efficiency solutions and sustainable facilities products, is partnering with EnergyConnect to offer customers integrated energy management and automated demand response (Auto-DR) services.
EnergyConnect’s integrated demand response platform enables participants to earn capacity payments for agreeing to shift or reduce power consumption during times of peak demand. GreenHouse is a qualified service provider of Southern California Edison’s Auto-DR program, providing site assessment, feasibility studies, project development, engineering, and installation of enabling technologies, including complete processing of all utility documents.
Rob Davis, Vice President for GreenHouse Holdings, says, “EnergyConnect has consistently demonstrated top-notch technology innovations and applications, customer service, and uncompromising dedication to excellence in this field. We are excited to be a part of EnergyConnect’s continuing efforts to deliver integrated demand response solutions to its valued customers. This strategic alliance will generate complementary synergies and we anticipate significant rewards for our respective companies and clients.”
The deal enables both companies to expand their customer base and consumers will benefit from increased energy. Under the terms of the agreement, GreenHouse will offer its Auto-DR services to EnergyConnect’s customers— Auto-DR provides the technology to automatically reduce power consumption when signaled by the utility during costly peak energy periods—and EnergyConnect will market its products to Greenhouse’s extensive customer base.
Rich Quattrini, EnergyConnect Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, believes California’s investor-owned utilities are at the cutting edge when it comes to promoting Auto-DR. GreenHouse provides expertise in turnkey Auto-DR implementations that comply with utility requirements and qualify participants to receive significant incentives for enabling technologies. We believe this partnership will facilitate our customers’ seamless participation in demand response.”
