BGE Selects C3’sSmart Grid Analytics Software

Christopher Burton, BGE vice president of smart grid and technology at BGE explains, “We selected C3 Energy as a strategic technology partner because of its unified, cloud-scale technology, comprehensive vision of smart grid analytics and deep understanding of the range of benefits that smart grid analytics can bring to BGE. We look forward to achieving operational efficiencies that will have a positive result for both BGE and our customers.”

C3 Energy smart grid analytics will be deployed across all of BGE’s nearly two million electric and gas meters. The deployment’s first phase is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2014.

BGE’s partnership with C3 Energy will include AMI operations, revenue assurance, customer experience, and system planning.

BGE serves more than 1.25 million electric customers and more than 650,000 gas customers in Central Maryland.
