Accenture Adds Control4 to Singapore Smart Meter Project

The project will be divided into two phases. The first phase will last through 2012 and focuses on installing smart meters and communication networks. The second phase begins in 2012 and goes through 2013 and concentrates on the best use of consumer power consumption.

Richard Walker, President of Control4’s Energy business unit, says Accenture’s vision for Singapore’s Intelligent Energy System includes “empowering the consumer with information and control, a fundamental philosophy that influenced our product design and development. We’re pleased to be partnering with a leader in the AMI space to deploy our energy management solutions in such a high growth market.”

The IES pilot project will be showcased at Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2010, which runs October 27 to November 4, 2010.  Building on the theme “Fuelling the Smart Energy Economy,” SIEW 2010 brings together more than 10,000 energy professionals and policy makers to check out the latest trends in smart grid technologies while exchanging ideas and best practices.

Founded in 2003, Control4 provides operating systems for the smart home, delivering intelligent control over consumer electronics products, appliances and networking systems through an easy-to-use and intuitive software interface. For more information, visit www.control4.com.
